I believe music is a way to help us live better lives. I know music has made me a better listener, communicator, thinker, and feeler, and helped me develop many other indispensable skills. I want to use music to help others thrive.
My philosophy is to contextualize lessons to each student's goals and needs so that lessons are customized for each student.
I first picked up the cello in 2000 and became addicted to playing, adding as many instruments as possible. I have been teaching since 2010 as a private instructor and music leader in a church setting. I have a B.S. in Music from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul, where I majored in cello. I am excited to connect!
I love getting to know students and helping them achieve their goals! I believe in holistic growth beyond just making music. I see lessons as an opportunity for both the student and myself to continue to get better musically and otherwise!
